Meka Bones-Griffin says:

You have to have food for energy to burn calories so I would not recommend starving for a full 24 hours because it turns right back into fat

Flyn Ryder says:

I e been doing it for months I’ve gained weight ☹️

Kisha Hill says:

IF takes great discipline. Only for those who are determine to take off the weight and keep it off. It's a lifestyle change. It works!

Elise Rockey says:

Isn't this bad for your blood sugar? This is just food restricting.

blackhawk32b says:

Umm don't most people eat in a 12 hour period? I have been eating within a 12 hours period most of my life without even thinking about it, Breakfast, lunch and dinner all between 7AM and 7PM, and I never considered this fasting. It's just a normal eating pattern.

Madonna Hagedorn says:

I think what you eat is important within your time frame. If you get some healthy options in it's all the better.

Karen Rodgers says:

Still has weight on her and she's wearing black come on now.

Changestartsnow says:

I tried fasting about two months ago 16:8 and sometimes 16:4 and felt like I was dying so I stopped. But l am thinking about trying again but less fasting hours and gradually going into it this time.

Jan Francisco ACC says:

To those who lost weight using IF, did you guys incorporate an exercise routine? With my current situation, I have no time for exercise. But I can do a 16:8 fast 3-4 times a week. I'd like to know if that'll make any difference. I also make sure that I have at least 500 caloric deficit each day.

Val Chung says:

It sad that the American culture is so lost when it comes to food. Over consumption is the problem. Must of the world interment fast without making it a trend. You eat what you need and you stop.

SJ R says:

This does work. I follow someone on his channel that tried this method, it is amazing the transformation in a short time. But, this year, I believe he is heavier than ever. He is a foodie, sadly. It hurts me,
and saddens me, to see how big he is, bigger than ever.

Michelle Renee says:

It works wonders

Mariví Palomino says:

I cut off on wheat, corn, rice, cut down on my dairy products intake to only 25ml of milk with my morning coffee, reduced my wine intake to twice a week at lunch, and started 12/12 intermittent fasting. I ate the same calories but with healthier food. In 8 months I went from 158.7 pounds to 134.4 pounds and lost only 5% of body fat, remaining above the normal percentage. So at 134 pounds I'm still overweight if I consider my bodyfat. Last week I changed to a 16/8 fasting and in just one week lost 2% body fat. I'm sticking to this schedule and on weekends I'll go a little further to get the benefits of autophagy.

Mariví Palomino says:

I'm within minute one and this misleading question already bothers me. Not true. For intermittent fasting to provide all its benefits, you do have to avoid simple carbs, processed foods and added sugar. That's how you obtain the benefits of fasting for a healthier, more productive and longer life.

Amina abels says:

In Islam we are encouraged to fast every Monday and Thursday, depending on the season, the least hours are about 12
That is beside the 13,14 and 15th of every Islamic month…there are also a few other dates of the Islamic calendar when we are encouraged to fast
Fasting is good for mind, body and soul

Zoe JDB says:

What is the hardest body part to lose weight?

Marium Khan says:

Well the intro is misleading. You definitely have to change what you are eating. If you are consuming large amounts of sugar and carbs, above your required daily intake, you won't lose weight. You can't be eating pizza, doughnuts, burgers or fast food in general all day. And even if u have to eat them, you have to stay within your caloric limit and maintain a slight deficit
So eating whole foods with loads of fiber and protein and an appropriate amount of carbs is definitely the gateway to a good fasting period which will make you lose weight, guaranteed.

Samantha Moore says:

How do you avoid getting super hungry during the periods you fast? I always feel like I can’t do it because of that

reshma paul says:

16.8 is easy ..once u get a hang of it..u can easily push it to 20.4….talking from my own experience..

MIC JACK says:

I'm down 25+ pounds. Doing a 18/6 fast in just a few months

Joo-foh says:

The level of ignorance with some people is mind boggling. Asking "is it safe" to go a few hours without eating is the most ridiculous question. We would not be here as a human race if it was not safe!
For a hundred thousand years people ate whatever they could whenever they got the chance to because food could be scarce for weeks sometimes. Our senses actually become MORE heightened as we fast. Our eyesight, hearing, everything, because it helped us to catch our next meal as hunter gatherers.
Do you really think cave men got up in the morning and had breakfast, then ate lunch and then dinner in the evening while snacking through the day? No. they could go 2 weeks without eating anything and then binge on whatever was available.

Queen Daenerys says:

Hers is not easy, just do 16 to 20 hours .

Queen Daenerys says:

Yes ,it works
