Kenneth Arnold never saw "flying discs" or "flying saucers", he saw flying bat – shaped creatures that flew "As if you skipped a saucer across water", how do you guys not know this? The term "flying saucer" was invented by the reporter who interviewed Arnold, not Arnold himself. He drew pictures of them, look them up

Most of the debris they found was from the gravel quarry that used to be there. The metal was an old piece of mining equipment. They closed the quarry a couple years ago and it's now a park. I've been there many times and there's still old equipment there. There was also a smelter in Ruston just to the south that dumped slag in the water that may have been responsible for the chunks…
