Marlene Millen, MD, primary care physician at UC San Diego Health, shares why it’s more important than ever to get the flu vaccine this year, the benefits of getting your flu shot, and provides answers to common questions. If you don’t normally get a flu vaccine, this should be the year you get one.

You can reduce the spread of flu by taking the same precautions that lower the risk of transmitting COVID-19, but getting your flu shot early in the season is the best way to protect yourself against the flu this fall and winter.
