Hurricane Dorian has pummelled the Bahamas, causing mass destruction on the island. The storm’s top sustained winds decreased to 249 km/h late Monday, reducing it to a still-powerful Category 4 storm. In the United States, the U.S. National Hurricane Center extended watches and warnings across the Florida and Georgia coasts.

Why aren't storm shutters a bigger sales item in FL and pretty much every place that gets hit by hurricanes. In the old days they actually had shutters that closed. Today they are non functional and just for looks. Makes no sense. Beats putting up plywood all the time. And the metal rolling ones. Why are they so expensive? They are relatively cheap to make. Greed. Stupidity.
