Charlotte Parker was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in May 2013. She underwent a year of chemotherapy at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and today, she is cancer-free. She encourages those who have just received an AML diagnosis to talk with their doctors and ask lots of questions about their AML treatment.
AML is one of the cancers MD Anderson is focusing on as part of our Moon Shots Program to dramatically reduce cancer deaths. Learn more about our MDS/AML Moon Shot: http://www.cancermoonshots.org/cancer-types/leukemia-mds-aml/.
