Interesting thing is we're creating the environment in which these diseases evolve to be more resistant to our antibiotics within our food supply but I believe in the wild, these said microorganisms would barely thrive if not in just small pockets.
The thing is.. the "wild" is slowly shrinking and if we're to act as stewards of this planet that we think we are, we sure have a lot in our plate in understanding things.

Alot of false dawns in this area, but this looks solid at this stage.
A rational person with an unbiased perspective will want to limit antibiotic use in healthy animals. But it goes on and on. How much effect herbicides have on bacterial resistance is more of a controversial question.
