Jonah Hill He lost over 40 pounds back in 2011, only to gain it all back in 2015. However, the actor recently shed those extra pounds after getting some advice from Channing Tatum! “I gained weight for this movie War Dogs and then I wanted to get in better shape, so I called Channing Tatum, and said, ‘Hey, if I ate less and go to a trainer, will I get in better shape?’ And he said, ‘Yes, you dumb motherf–ker, of course you will, it’s the simplest thing in the entire world,’” Jonah said.
Sam Smith The singer lost a whopping 42 pounds. As for how he did it, he said he only changed how much he ate. “I’ve just not eaten like a pig anymore — that’s what I’m doing, basically,” he said.
Joshua Peck With the help of a healthy diet and a personal trainer, Josh peck lost over 110 pounds. “I made a conscious effort to lose weight because I knew I could be happier as well as being healthier,” he said.
Rob Kardashian Just last year, the reality star shared a before and after pic of his weight-loss on Instagram and said: “Still got a lot of work to do and weight to lose but glad I’m getting better.” Late in 2016 (while he and Blac Chyna were feuding) he unfortunately gained back all the weight, but now it seems like Rob is making progress gain!
Perez Hilton The TV personality and blogger lost over 70 pounds! “I made a commitment to my health and I have stuck to it. I am in the best shape of my life! I’ve lost more than 70 pounds and I’ve worked for it. I’ve done it the old-fashioned way, slow and steady, by eating healthily and exercising regularly. And I feel wonderful!” he said.
Seth Rogen The actor lost about 30 pounds, but it wasn’t an easy process! “I did not do any experimental injections! It’s just diet and exercise. It works. Uh, stay fat, people. That’s my motto. It’s no picnic,” he joked.
Al Roker After his failed gastric bypass surgery in 2002, the weatherman started a strict diet and exercised daily. To this day, he has maintained a 130-pound weight loss. “I went back [to being fat] and I hated it. I know what I have to do now to keep that from happening again,” he said.
John Goodman The actor lost over 100 pounds, largely because he decided to be more active! “I know it sounds sappy, but it was a waste. It takes a lot of creative energy to sit on your ass and figure out what you’re going to eat next … I wanted to live life better,” he once said.
Ricky Gervais The comedian claimed that eliminating his nightly meals and snacks had a major effect on his weight. “It wasn’t so much about the weight. It was more that I was a fat, lazy, out of shape slob, to be honest … I didn’t eat differently. I probably just stopped having that second meal at 11:30 at night,” he said.
Zach Galifianakis His weight loss wasn’t planned, but after he decided to quit drinking alcohol, the actor lost a lot of weight. He was inspired to quit after his drinking caused him to get into an altercation with another driver on the street. “As he cut me off, I hit the car as hard as I could with my hand. I turn around, and it’s two huge, 6-foot-6 guys [from the Jaguar]. They both, at the same time, spit in my face!” he said.
Randy Jackson The former American Idol judge underwent gastric bypass surgery after he found out he had type two diabetes. “It’s not easy, and it’s a continued struggle. It can happen to anybody. It happened to me, no matter how much money, no matter what I do, I’m still just like you.'” he explained.
Jason Segal He decided to get in shape while he was working on the movie Sex Tape. “I’ve just been living healthy, exercising, eating right — no more midnight pizzas. This time when I take my shirt off, I’ve made a promise to myself, it doesn’t have to be funny,” he said.
