Seems like par for the course. Trump doesn't pay the people who works for him. This appears similar.
The only way the election could be close is in the electoral count 'IF' Trump wins Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Nevada and Hillary would still win the electoral count. There are certain states that are always red or blue. Based on the 2012 results Romney received 206 electoral votes. If Trumps wins the 4 above mentioned states it would only give him 265 total electoral votes. Since Romney won North Carolina, Trump still needs to hold that state (just to lose) and Hillary Clinton is leading there as well as in Iowa and Nevada. Ohio and Florida are real toss-ups. It's hard to make a case for Trump to get to 270 electoral votes unless a case of "the stupids" runs rampant in all the Democratic stronghold states. It's more likely Clinton will get close to 300 electoral votes regardless of how close the popular vote is.
