Estimates for Influenza deaths during and after the war have been very difficult to compile. But most estimates for world-wide deaths is around 17 – 18 millions (not 13 millions as mentioned here) When you consider similar estimates for war dead during WWI is generally around 16 millions – or about one-third of estimates of war dead for WWII.
