The last time I sketched something was 10 years ago. But recently, I decided to buy a wacom pen tablet and try graphic design. I discovered that I still have my drawing skills plus I have a lot of experience with adobe photoshop. And right now, I wanna quit my job and be a graphic designer. The only thing is that I don't know where to start. I'm already getting the hang of digital painting with PS but I don't know what I need to learn next and what things I should learn first before I can be hired as a designer. Any tips? Start with Indesign? Logo making?

I am getting my B.A in Fine arts, but I'm studying digital film… thinking about going back for a 2nd B.A in interactive media, then getting my Masters in Advertisement. the reason I'm doing this is because no one wants to hire a person that just does film, should i skip the 2nd B.A and just teach myself? if so, what is the best way to start?

This was amazing! I studied some graphic design years ago and left the industry for about 6 years. It seems like s lot has change and some other things are still the same. How do I sharpen my skills and get back on my horse?

Great vid. I've been on the other side of your arugement. I finished my Masters in Marketing and I am finding it really difficult to get a job, so I thought that by learning some graphic design I can increase my chances. I'll definitely check out some of the stuff you've recommended :)
I really want to be a graphic designer & I am talented in drawing, Does that help? I don't have any money for the programs like adobe Photoshop. & I don't know what to do, Do I continue to better My drawing skills? I wanna turn them into 3-D animations. Like video game designing,
For some reason I'm not really motivated to start… I really enjoy designing with my basic illustrater skills and I think I have talent. Should I be excited to start learning? Is this not something for me?
Is that a São wallpaper I see .. ??
I did enjoy 🙂 Thank you and I will be looking at more videos. We kinda have the same idea, about using the internet to your advantage. On the other hand, I really thought that the more specific a degree I take, the better it will be. I was thinking purely of skill, but from your perspective, it seems that there is heavier skills competition than I thought. I have seen marketing degrees with design elements, as well as digital media degrees that were broader. I just always figured more specific the degree would be better. I really think its a good idea to start learning basic concepts. I already have a pile of printed stuff to go over with basic design principles. I am really interested now in figuring out how to make "compositions" and "mock ups". I'll google that now. Thanks again! :D
