The last time I sketched something was 10 years ago. But recently, I decided to buy a wacom pen tablet and try graphic design. I discovered that I still have my drawing skills plus I have a lot of experience with adobe photoshop. And right now, I wanna quit my job and be a graphic designer. The only thing is that I don't know where to start. I'm already getting the hang of digital painting with PS but I don't know what I need to learn next and what things I should learn first before I can be hired as a designer. Any tips? Start with Indesign? Logo making?

Hey Roberto, I just got accepted into my Top College. I did not get into the major I wanted yet, the only option that seemed interesting to me was Graphic Design. I have no experience what so ever with Graphic Design and was wondering if you had any advice that could help. Thank You. (I applied to my College for Game Development).

I am getting my B.A in Fine arts, but I'm studying digital film… thinking about going back for a 2nd B.A in interactive media, then getting my Masters in Advertisement.  the reason I'm doing this is because no one wants to hire a person that just does film, should i skip the 2nd B.A and just teach myself? if so, what is the best way to start?

I did enjoy 🙂 Thank you and I will be looking at more videos. We kinda have the same idea, about using the internet to your advantage. On the other hand, I really thought that the more specific a degree I take, the better it will be. I was thinking purely of skill, but from your perspective, it seems that there is heavier skills competition than I thought. I have seen marketing degrees with design elements, as well as digital media degrees that were broader. I just always figured more specific the degree would be better. I really think its a good idea to start learning  basic concepts. I already have a pile of printed stuff to go over with basic design principles. I am really interested now in figuring out how to make "compositions" and "mock ups". I'll google that now. Thanks again! :D
