Designer William MacDonald takes on The Style Refresh Challenge using pieces from Walmart. See how he updates a bedroom and a bathroom with luxurious Hometrends accessories that are also affordable.
William relied on pattern, deep jewel tones and sumptuous fabrics to infuse opulence into each space. In the principal bedroom, a pile of velvet cut-out pillows, silky sheets and a new comforter brought various layers and textures to the space. He transformed the simple bathroom with a tufted velvet-top bench, a small mirror-top table, and canvas artwork. Accessories in gold, including candle holders, lacquered boxes, and sculptures, were the finishing touches in both rooms.
I really liked this!
What Walmart carries these pillows and other items? ? If they can afford this condo, why cheapen it with Walmart products!

Absolutely gorgeous!
Bravo :-)
good choices of colors! they add definition on those boring all-white rooms.
I know this is a commercial but still the pieces does look cheap even on screen, so I bet in real life you can tell they're not exquisite. I think mixing one or two into your home could work but some items (from Walmart) are better left untouched. Target on the other hand has better looking stuff but sadly it's not available in my country, neither does Walmart. I'm from Singapore.
lovely. its so elegant. great decor.
It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home
I feel these items didn't really work for this space. It definitely took away the spa feeling in the bathroom
How much does he get paid to do this kind of simple stuff? Probably kids can do just as well… selecting a few stuff and putting them on shelves and tables…
Products by themselves look nice. But they just don't fit in these interiors.
loved the table and chair in the bathroom!
Everything looks cheap and skimp. Snooze fest…
Just a commercial in disguise,boring ugly………
I'd love to know the paint mfg and color used in the master bathroom – on my screen it's not blue, it's not green and is the perfect color for my master bath as well.
