United Nations – Artificial insemination is assisting cattle farmers across the continent of Africa to raise better quality and healthier livestock without having to keep bulls. In Tanzania, the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, through its technical cooperation programme and partnership with the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization, FAO, is supporting has a nuclear technique which helps to detect if the insemination process has been successful at an early stage.
