The national flag raising ceremony at Beijing’s Tian’anmen Square marks the annual celebration of China’s National Day of October 1st. This year is the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Over 100,000 Chinese citizens came from throughout the country to see this majestic ritual.

CGTN’s Roee Ruttenberg spoke with Sourabh Gupta about the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Gupta is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for China-America Studies.
